This was the first of two weddings on our trip to England. Matt and Sally had a long standing date for their wedding, turned out my sister ended up getting married the very next day.

We set out from London towards Oxford along the M4 arriving a few hours later in the little town of Wantage. Walking into the hotel I started to notice some familiar faces. These were my really good friends that I’ve not seen in nearly a year. Matt, Rich, Matts brothers, Duncan were all staying at the same hotel. After a quick bite to eat it was in a cab down to the Barn where the wedding was to take place. The setting couldn’t have been better with lush green lawns filled with guests offset against the tudor barn.


After a short ceremony Matt and Sally were married. They are probably my closest friends so I was so happy for them, to the point of being al emotional, aaahhh! Well now the fun began… with Champagne flowing and food being served we slipped in to the evening. By about 11pm everyone was done. Well apart from a select few of us who continued on in the hotel bar. Not thinking that I might regret it tomorrow!
