2008 on balance
This has been a year of ups, downs and the unexpected
Good
- Got engaged to Nikki
- Went to 3 weddings (Chicago, Tahoe & Palo Alto)
- My Dad made it through a health scare and operation
- Got a new car, Z4 Coupe
- The country I live in is getting an good present at last
Meh
- Didn’t get in any Snowboarding
- Maintained the same weight for another year (lower would have pushed this to ‘Good’)
- Transitive, my old company, got bought by IBM but it didn’t make me rich or even wealthy
Not do good
- My Grandma died (Dec 9th)
- Investments in stock too a tumble
- Can’t sell either my house in England
Firmware updated my car
Drive out to the Alpine Inn
Today I had to drive to lunch. Where else could I go but to the Alpine Inn, on Alpine Road. This not only is a great place for lunch but also you can get back through the hills of Palo Alto Open Space reserve. That was a fun drive!
Los Altos grill, again
We can’t seem to stay away from this place
Z4 coupe at last
Finally got myself a different car, a Z4 Coupe. It’s so much fun!
Last day with my Scion
Today is the last day with my Scion tC
Trader Vics for dinner
Nikki and I decided that it’d be better to go out for dinner somewhere nice. The only place I could think of was Trader Vics. Their seafood mixer is excellent.
Finally found a car
Today I sold my Scion and provisionally signed for Z4. It will be certified pre-owned but isn’t quite ready so I could not drive it. Wednesday/Thursday should be collection and final delivery day.
Lamb & Spinach for tonights party
This dish tastes so much better than it looks in this picture
This just annoys me
It’s only the 550, not even the SL55
Ordered a cool t-shirt
I ordered a very cool t-shirt, after watching The IT Crowd.
Can’t wait to pick it up when getting to London.
