American Economy

The current decline in property prices is not just affecting the low classes. While walking through the very affluent neighbourhood of Los Altos, every street had a house for sale

SF Giants Game

Tara and Daryl invited to join them at the Giants game on Saturday night. Unfortunately the Giants sucked. I still don’t understand this game.

Auto-Cross at Infineon

For my birthday, Nikki bought me an auto-cross day at Infineon Raceway.

The training sessions were to learn car control at speed, under braking, etc.  However, you also get to hitch rides with those going around the real track in their expensive cars.   I was lucky enough to get 5 laps in both a Lotus Elise and a BMW Z4 M-Coupe.

Aaron’s Birthday at Bonny Doons

A somewhat last minute party on the beach for Aaron (aka ‘tree’) at Boony Doons.  Bonny Doons beach is about 10 miles north of Santa Cruz.

Aaron’s brother brought a truck full of pallets for a fire.  The only problem being we had to get them over the sand dunes.

Dinner & Drinks

What better way to enjoy a Friday evening than with dinner at Los Altos Bar & Grill followed by drinks at Trader Viks

Their Trader Viks Sling really isn’t as good as the Singapore Sling at Straits Cafe.

Stop fuel speculation

In, what must be, an unprecedented move United Airlines has written an open letter to it’s customers to stop fuel speculation.

Fuel speculation is being reported as one of the reasons behind rising fuel prices.  While there’s clearly a fuel demand issue, market speculation isn’t helping any.  Show your support by signing the petition at www.StopOilSpeculationNow.com
