Jessica’s parents threw a huge party at their house in Los Altos. Their house had been modified to have the bow of a ship and sails on the roof. Nikki and I went as the couple from ‘The Birds’ movie.

Chesters Birthday Picnic
Recovering
The holes that used to be filled with my wisdom teeth are now healing. Tomorrow I can drink again, woohoo!
Charlie’s Birthday, Part 2, in Sonal
Charlie is 3 this weekend and due to his love of trains we went to the Niles Canyon railway. Unfortunately we were a little late so had to drive to the other end of the track and catch the return train. It was a nice train, but not as good as the steam trains of James Town.
After the train we had pizza and cake (in the shape of a train). More photos
No more wisdom
Yesterday I had my 3 remaining wisdom teeth removed by Scott Frost in Palo Alta. Amazingly there’s hardly any swelling!
Seems the Americans are right about their dentist being good.

Dinner at PQ
Dinner this evening at PQ (Pasta?) in Palo Alto. This Pasta? is far more lively that the mountain view one and even turns the place into a “uber lounge” later on in the evening.
The decor is far nice too, of course the food is just the same. You can’t beat the Penne Norcina.
Fleet week
Another trip up to San Francisco for Fleet Week. The Blue Angels put on another great performance.

Anniversary Dinner
Nikki’s parents had their 36th wedding anniversary dinner last night at Vaso Azzurro
Excellent food, but very rich and filling.
Prius needs a jump
Some friends of ours were at the San Jose State game and had to give a Prius a jump start. Turns out a Prius cannot jump start another Prius. After a few attempts it was clear little japanese men were going to need to crawl all over the car’s electric to make it work again. Another reason not to get a Prius.
