Kodak Photobooth

After many years of taking photos with my digital camera I finally got around to printing them. A quick search in Google led me to Boots (the chemist) in Manchester. They have the fancy Kodak Photobooth machines where you insert anything from a range of storage devices and it can print your pictures. Now most of the pictures I wanted in the standard 4 x 6 size. 3 however I wanted to tbe slightly larger, 2 artistic shots of New York and one of myself and Nikki. So I clicked enlarge and without thinking chose the middle option without looking at the size. A few minutes later my pictures popped out of the machine. They all looked great. There I am thinking this is a wonderful machine it was so easy. But then I look confused around the picture frames on show around the photo booth. The machine had printed the enlargements in 6 x 8. Not a single picture frame in the shop. Now wouldn’t you think that a company with a photo machine in their store would sell picture frames that held the pictures it printed. When I asked a store assistance she looked at me as if I’d asked her if she was the Pope and didn’t even know the machine printed in those sizes. It took 8 shops and 2 hours to find 3 picture frames to hold the pictures. The was limited choice, in the sense that there seemed to only be 3 picture frames this size in the whole of Manchester!
So I went to write a letter but thought I’d better check the kodak website. Either it’s lying or the machine I used is old because they claim to print the much more normal 5 x 7 enlargements!
