Does it really need washing

When getting my car washed last week I noticed the car in front needed a little more than a wash.

The rear bumper (fender for American readers) was held on with Duck Tape (yeah we call it Duck Tape too). It seems it needed less soap and more rush remover!

Being English

This weekend Nikki and I headed over to by Muir Beach for a taste of England. The Pelican Inn is one of the best English pubs in the area. The plan was to have dinner and a few drinks. While standing outside we noticed a car come in with a particularly interesting roof-rack
Photo-0158.jpg It’s made from two pieces of 3 by 2 and a sheet of plywood. Turns out the car belonged to Ronda (or Ron as he’s otherwise known), a local Transsexual.
After a few pints of London Pride, we headed in for an excellent dinner, only slightly spoilt by the weird waiter.
Anyway – more photos

San Jose, chillin’

The San Jose Museum of Art has an exhibition of Eschers work on at the moment. Since I love the fact that someone merged mathematics and art so well, Nikki and I went to have a look. It was really interesting to see it all, despite there being a lot of people around. The number of people there was even more surprising given that the Museum now charges for entry. (apparently the sale of Knight Ridder caused them to loose sponsorship).
After wandering round the gallery Nikki took me on a tour of San Jose State. I’ve not been there before and it’s nice to see an American university campus. Their library is especially nice, in it’s new modern home with amazing views. If you go, don’t miss the mysterious turning pages as you walk down one of the rows 🙂
